Established  in  2003  with  a  grant from the
Eagle  Tribune  Publishing  Companies,   the
mission  of  the  Center  for  Public Opinion
Research  at Merrimack College (CPOR) is to serve as a research center and resource to the community, providing timely and accurate information on issues of public importance, relying on survey research and related methods.  CPOR conducts academic and applied research for faculty, governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, private businesses, and media clients.  We provide a full range of services including research design, sampling design and weighting, data collection, data analysis, and report writing and presentation of results. The center utilizes a variety of survey (telephone, in-person, mail, web, e-mail, and self-administered) and non-survey methodologies to gather information on public opinion in the state, region, and nation.  The center also supports Merrimack College’s undergraduate educational mission by actively involving students in research opportunities and enhancing the college’s academic offerings.

The center subscribes to the
American Association For Public Opinion Research (AAPOR)
Code of Professional Ethics and Practices
in the conduct of our work.
