Michael DeCesare,
Ph.D.
Michael DeCesare is an assistant professor
of sociology at
His interests are in social
movements, the sociology of education, quantitative research methods, teaching
and learning in sociology, and the history of sociology. He teaches Social
Movements, Sociology of Education, and Principles of Sociology.
Professor DeCesare is currently working on a book about Jack Kevorkian’s role in the U.S. right-to-die movement. His first book, A Discipline Divided: Sociology in American High Schools, appeared in 2007. He has published in Teaching Sociology, The American Sociologist, and other journals.
